A taxiway is used by an aircraft to move around an airport. At night and during low-visibility conditions, taxiway lighting is used to provide safe aircraft maneuvers along the designated paths. The taxiway edges are marked with blue lights. The lights that mark the taxiway centerline are green. They are usually installed at busy airports and airports where low-visibility conditions are often. Such lights are very bright and, in fact, are installed a few centimeters left or right from the centerline. Their cases are integrated evenly with the taxiway surface.

A very interesting solution was implemented at one of the largest airports in the world – Singapore Changi. To ease operations and simultaneously increase safety, Safegate system is used. Green lights turn on one by one directly in front an aircraft. Doing so, they navigate an aircraft to a designated spot.
